FIRST LOVE, SECOND PLANET
(color, 17 minutes, 1996)

Crystal just wants what everyone wants: love, romance, and a safe refuge for her desire. But the very notion of intimacy goes up in flames when she tries to make love to her boyfriend Lars. A burning secret transports her to a surreal picnic on Venus, where she dreams that idyllic love might still be possible. But the heat of her memories melts away any hope of sanctuary.
